"I liked how the class introduced us to the pro's and cons of the Veteran Loan. We have more knowledge to make a more educated decision in our house buying future. Veterans can benefit from a wealth of knowledge given by an experienced professional."

"In the class, the points were made, questions were answered. I would recommend this class because veterans need background to make wise decisions and so far, I have not had an opportunity to get this kind of information from any other sources."

The Zamora Family Story.
Roman Zamora served our country in the Marine Core. When returning, he had some difficulty re acclimating to society due to PTSD. He and his wife Jovita and their children were homeless, couch surfing with many relatives. Roman came to Veterans Helping Veterans to ask for our assistance in repairing his credit, educating him on his VA Benefit, having him go through HUD certified classes, and finding him the home he and his family deserves. It is a long and stressful process, but our Veteran professionals walked together with Roman throughout the process, until they were in their new home. |
The Valtierra Family Story. Robert Valtierra served our country in the Army. He has resided in East Los Angeles and came in to Veterans Helping Veterans with the hopes of moving out of Los Angeles and moving to a safe suburb for him and his 5 children. Mr. Valtierra is 100% disabled with PTSD. His wife is his caregiver. We were able to raise his disability claim, combine the caregiver funds, repair his credit, and get him into a safe neighborhood and a brand new custom home. Mr. Valtierra was a victim of identity theft and had no knowledge of it until Veterans Helping Veterans started helping to build his credit. We assisted in disputing the fraudulent charges, filing the police report, and acted as an advocate for Mr. Valtierra. He and his wife Dulce participated in the HUD counseling classes for financial responsibility and home buying. Veterans Helping Veterans have many relationships with Home Builders that are Veteran sensitive and have inventory for our Veterans. They were living in a very unsafe East Los Angeles neighborhood and moved to a brand new home in Canyon Hills. Mr. and Mrs. Valtierra were overcome with emotions and very grateful. |
The Figueroa Family Story.
Luis Figueroa served our country as a US Marine. When he returned from his tour, he and his wife Denise and their 2 children lived in a very small one bedroom apartment in East Los Angeles. Luis and Denise desperately wanted to move their children out of the neighborhood, look for a safe environment and superior education system for their young daughters. Luis and Denise came to Veterans Helping Veterans to receive the education and steps it would take to repair and build their credit so they could qualify for a home. After going through our program and working to build their credit, it was time to find them a home they could afford. They are now happily living out of East Los Angles, in a beautiful 3 bedroom home, in Temecula CA. They were able to take their children from a class 3 school in East Los Angeles and enroll them is a class 9 school district. |
